I live in two places: Laporte Pennsylvania, where I spent summers surrounded by the lake, acres of forest and the Endless Mountains, and Rockport, Maine for the last twenty years where “the mountains meet the sea.” I have always been drawn to the outdoors, so landscape photography comes naturally as a way to express myself. I have been making photographs and keeping a journal since I was a child. After twenty years of taking photography workshops and courses, I enrolled in the MFA program at Maine Media College and graduated in 2020.

My MFA thesis project is my book “Goose River Field Notes.” The three-mile long Goose River in Rockport, Maine runs through my backyard. The color photographs in the book portray a walk along the river over the course of a year at different times of day. The book also contains fifteen short essays describing geology, hydrology, history, botany, geomorphology, weather, wildlife and memories.
