Heidi Rotterdam

Heidi Rotterdam, born and educated in Germany, moved to the USA after graduating from Medical School in 1968. Her marriage to the Austrian painter Paul Rotterdam ended in divorce. She has one daughter, a writer and teacher in Boulder Colorado. Heidi Rotterdam, an academic pathologist at Columbia University, has written extensively about medical issues in journals and books but since her retirement in 2013 has switched from medical writing to creative writing, poetry, memoir and fiction.
