Emma Komlos-Hbrosky

Emma Komlos-Hrobsky is senior editor of Poets & Writers Magazine and will appear on the Aug. 20 Corner Craft Talk: Publishing Poetry Today.

For nine years, she served as an editor at Tin House magazine, where she was honored to edit such luminaries as Alexander Chee, Alexandra Kleeman, Kelly Link, and Rebecca Makkai—and just as honored to edit writers at the beginning of their careers.

As an editor for Tin House’s books division, her editorial projects included Jenn Shapland’s My Autobiography of Carson McCullers, a finalist for the National Book Award. Her own writing has appeared in Conjunctions, Tin House, Guernica, Bookforum, Hunger Mountain, Broadcast, the Story Collider, and elsewhere. With the support of a grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation, she is at work on a novel about family, feminism, and particle physics.
