Contemplating Kinship

This multi-media event evocative exploration of kinship through the voices of poets and writers who deepen their understanding of our experience from cicadas, whales, and the more-than-human world. It features four writers/artists who share their work through readings and visuals and engage in a discussion about our connections—to others, to nature, and to the universe—revealing how these relationships shape our understanding of existence and shared experience.

We’re joined by Claire Millikin, author of Magiciada (Unicorn, 2024), visual artist and writer Jane Pirone, David Baker author of Whale Fall (W. W. Norton, 2022), and writer and visual artist Mihku Paul.
