Rachel Ouellette

Rachel Ouellette started writing poetry as soon as she could spell. Years later, while in high school, she had the honor of seeing three of her poems published in Balancing Act 2, the anthology of poetry by Maine women. Now studying English at UMaine, she is working on a creative thesis that explores the liberating power of poetic constraint. Kathleen Ellis is her thesis advisor. Rachel is also a member of the UMaine creative writing club, Storied. Recently, one of her poems was accepted for publication in The Rectangle, the creative journal of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society.
