C.C. (Chrystena) Hahn

C.C. (Chrystena) Hahn, a native of New Jersey, attended William Paterson College where her love of poetry began with listening to poets ranging from Diane Wakoski to John Ciardi; Rosa Alcalá to Tim Liu. She holds a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Writing.She made a career editing textbooks, teaching high school and college English, and supervising Literacy from Pre-K through high school. In 2019, Hahn relocated with her husband, Stephen, also a writer, to Maine to make a life in which she might become a working poet. Maine has provided the breathing room she needed. So, too, have the Nine Poets, a group she became associated with during Richard Blanco’s chapbook writing workshop, where Blanco characterized her writing as coming from a place of love.
