The next reading "The Art of the Book" on The Poets Corner will be Sunday in March 7, 2021 (the first Sunday of March). Cig Harvey, Richard Reitz Smith, and Meg Weston will read from their work and discuss book design, creation, and publishing. Cig Harvey is the author of three sold-out books and a world-renowned photographer whose artistic practice seeks to find the magical in everyday life. Richard Reitz Smith is an artist and book designer who chairs the Book Arts & Design program at Maine Media Workshops + College. Meg Weston is a co-founder of The Poets Corner, whose recently released limited edition book Letters from the White Queen, combines poetry and letter excerpts in a compelling design by Richard Smith. All three artists will read from and share their work and then engage in a discussion about different options for creating and publishing work that is a combination of images and text.
