This year The Poets Corner will again team up with Toad Hall Editions and the Camden Festival of Poetry to offer our 2026 Chapbook Contest.

Submissions open on January 2, 2026 and close on February 28, 2026—unless the Submission Cap of 250 is reached before that date. The submission process will be through Submittable—a link will be available at the beginning of the New Year!

And we’re thrilled to announce this year’s contest judge will be NYT best-selling nature writer, poet and essayist Aimee Nezhukumatathil.

“Poetry can speak the truth in a language people can hear, it can heal wounds, bring us empathy and compassion and insight into how another feels, it can help us see the world in new ways.”

— Meg Weston & Kathrin Seitz

MEET OUR WRITERS AND PRESENTERS

We have so little of each other, now. So far from tribe and fire. Only these brief moments of exchange. What if they are the true dwelling of the holy, these fleeting temples we make together when we say, “Here, have my seat,” “Go ahead—you first,” “I like your hat.”

—Danusha Laméris, from “Small Kindnesses” in Bonfire Opera
